Cash is great!! But in today’s society electronic payment is taking over. It is statistically proven that a buyer who can pay via credit card or electronic payment will on average spend up to 10% more on product and it provides a paper trail.

Convenience is the key.

Keep in mind, our 18/15 Buyers premium will cover the fees associated with credit card processing, so there is no cost to you.

Accepting credit cards – average of 2.5% – 3% fee.

NOTE: It is against the law to pass a credit card fee to a customer. Texas finance code section 339.001.

However we can and do offer a discount for cash with the 18/15 buyers premium. The Auction company will send the 15% buyer premium to Auction Spear LLC and keep the 3% for credit card processing.

Final Points

Below are the step by step in order procedures for processing an auction.

ALWAYS obtain a signed contract prior to starting any work.
Sort - Organization & knowledge are the keys. Like minded items with like-minded. Go through the entire inventory until all items are sorted and organized. Leave no stone unturned, be thorough when sorting and watch for hidden treasures. Watch the product education videos to learn more about key items.
Lot - Organization & Knowledge is the key. The goal should be an average $25.00 or higher per lot bid value. Lot Quality high dollar items alone ($50 or more) and lot Low dollar like minded items together (Less than $50). Research the product utilizing Google or Duck Duck Go, or contact us with questions about product.
Tag - Print bar code labels per training in the tool box. Place labels on each lot in an organized manner starting at one end of the room working your way to the back until all lots are number tagged. Place labels on product where the mat be removed or do not devalue the product in any way (Back or bottom of item).
Descriptions - Brand name, Model number, Describe it, Measure it. Do the research to make sure you describe it right. utilize Google search or image search. Contact us if you have questions about an item. Good descriptions equals good search engine results and good bids.
Photographs - Lighting and a good camera are the key to quality pictures. Use a quality High Definition camera. Don't use a cell phone camera. utilize white, black and neutral background colors. Clean clear quality pics equal quality bids.
Final edit & upload - Always use Spell Check prior to uploading an auction. Double check your descriptions to make sure they are worded correctly. Convert, upload and publish the auction spreadsheet and photos to your platform.
Advertise your auction - It is vital to advertise your own auction! While Auction Spear admin advertises on your behalf (for premium members only, upgrade today), it is always important to post your own ads to promote auctions and solicit new sellers.
Preview & Pick up day - Good Customer service is the key!! Treat customers with a smile, positive attitude and as a good friend you haven't seen in a long time. Take good care of customers and they will take good care of you.
Payout - Pay any taxes due first, then pay your consignor/seller, then pay the 15% buyer premium to Auction Spear LLC. Remember never pay sellers with cash.

If a disagreement arises the independent associate will make a good faith effort to resolve the issue in question. Independent associates will be professional, honest and show the utmost integrity with customers.
